-Abstract
Determinants of organizational members’ behaviors options have been analysed in a field study. Five behavioral options have been investigated: exit, voice, loyalty, neglect and internal exit. A hundred and seventeen graduates working in a service organization have participated in this study. Data analysis was conducted according to a model that includes five independent variables: affective reactions, labour market perception, options’ effectiveness and costs, social comparison, and professional identity. The explained variance of the behavioral options ranges from 21% to 41%. The discussion points out to the relevance of the social comparison and the professional identity, in addition to precedent models, to the study of the behavioral options.
