Cultura organizacional: Estudo empírico com base no modelo dos valores contrastantes

The present paper deals with the concept of organizational culture based on Quinn’s (1983, 1985) model of «contrasting values». The author tried to operationalize the concept of organizational culture by means of a questionnaire (used in 5 enterprises belonging to different professional areas). Results give partial support to the model. Main implications of the questionnaire are that it seems to allow the assessment and understanding of the different profiles depicted by each enterprise, and stress that even though management procedures are universal, they also are culture sensitive in their actual implementation.
