This paper intends to be a reflexion based on the authors’ long experience in professional training and intervention at the organizational level. It is structured in three parts: (1) a contrast among dominant instructional models in the industrialized countries; (2) assessment of training based on school, power and quality Metaphors; and (3) a concrete example of professional training, based on the quality metaphor.
