Abstract

The subjective dimension of the phenomenon of death perceived at different taxoconomic strata of Primates is extrapolated as to illustrate the development of the death concept by successive levels in the Hominian evolution. Based on a convergent approach of this problem by the biases of a Comparative psychology, Social ethology of Primates and Paleo-anthropology, we propose a model of piagetian nature, able to bring together the evolutive steps that lead from the first glimpse of death to its abstract concept in the phylogeny of Primates.
