Fobia social: História natural e diagnóstico diferencial

Abstract

The author reviews the scientific literature regarding aspects of the natural history of social phobia such as its prevalence, sex distribution, age of onset and duration, its evolution, the limitations and restrictions it imposes, predisposing and associated factors and family history. Furthermore, various aspects connected with the diagnosis of social phobia and with the differencial diagnosis with other psychological disturbances are discussed.
