Despite major developments in cardiology in the past three decades, ischemic heart disease remains a main cause of mortality and morbidity in all developed countries, particularly in men of working age. Thus the principles of rehabilitation, which have long been recognized as important in the treatment of patients with psychiatric, locomotor and neurological illness, are now considered relevant in cardiac disease.Downloads
