Reflexão sobre a contribuição dos programas de texto para a redução de constrangimentos tópicos no acto de composição escrita

The author analyses the educational contributions of computer use to the reduction of constraints in the act of written composition. Two complementar trends are explored regarding the use of word processors: as a writing tool for students and as a instructional tool for teachers. To pursue this goal, some processors are analysed according to three types of constraints: knowledge (content), written speech (structure) and rethorical problem (purpose). Some considerations about the adequability of word processors to the reduction of constraints are made, and some suggestions are proposed for teachers toward the optimization of the educational use of computers.
