As a point of departure, we set the following questions: is the organizational culture a fashion from the eighties, condemned to a transitory success? Is it an innovation in the context of the organizational literature, a new metaphor to think new dimensions of the organizational life, which remained unapproached or neglected? And if is a metaphor, does it only refer to the «symbolic», «folklorist» side of the organizational phenomena, letting aside or in the dark of the «reality» of organizational structures, or is it something deeper and more innovative that represents an emergent paradigm in the context of explaining models ot Organizational Behavior? This paper constitutes a reflexion about culture as a paradigmatic metaphor which can possibilitate a new comprehension of the organizational behavior. It high-lignts the cultural reality of the organization: a reality symbolically constituted, socially constructed, interactively maintained and communicationally achieved. In the perspective here presented, the organizational thinking. It is at the basis of a new paradigm and starts a new chapter in the context of the Organizational and Management Sciences. For that, one speaks of a paradigmatic metaphor.
