Studied the experience of justice and injustice in organizations. Ss included 193 adults from 19 businesses and organizations in Portugal. Data on sociodemographic variables and justice dimensions were obtained by mail questionnaire. Ss were asked to describe an episode where they had felt unjustly treated by their supervisor or a personal episode of injustice in their organization and then to describe what would have made the episode a just situation. Multiple correspondence factor analysis and other statistical tests were used. The results suggest that injustice situations are associated with distributive dimensions and justice claims are associated with procedural and interactional dimensions. The results also indicate that discrimination is associated with age and seniority. Bidimensional and bipolar hypotheses about perception of justice are discussed.
