Abstract

Following a previous study, Portuguese psychotherapists (members of different societies) were studied not only with the aim of establishing, comparatively, the incidence and types of professed eclecticism, but also to compare eclectics and non-eclectics on a number of variables: (1) age, training, and professional experience; (2) therapeutic difficulties and coping strategies; and (3) satisfaction with therapeutic work and personal life.
