To understand the family dynamics, first we have to know the structure of the family, as some of its features may influence the relationship between its members, as the perception of justice and disease that each had and have. In this sample of 244 adolescents, the results demonstrated no differences in the emotional well-being in adolescents. However, it is concluded that adolescent males feel a greater differentiation in terms of parental treatment compared to female adolescents. It was established that depression is positively correlated with differentiated maternal treatment, thus having a significant contribution to the onset of depression in adolescents. Since the differentiated maternal treatment appears to influence the emotional well-being of adolescents, it seems relevant to continue the research in this area of studies in order to understand the real impact on the lives of children, either in adolescence or in childhood.Downloads
